The Prime Minister (the Rt. Hon. P. Fraser) may not arrive in New Zealand until Monday, according to the latest information received by the Act-ing-Prime Minister (the Rt. Hon. W. Nash). It may still be possible for him to keep engagements to speak at Huntly and Ngaruawahia, however.— (P.A.) “The sudden death of Mr G. S. A. Biltcliff after 24 years’ service makes a serious gap in our numbers,” said the Principal of the Christchurch Technical College (Dr. D. E. Hansen) at a meeting of the college board last evening. After paying tribute to Mr BiltclifFs work as a teacher, Dr. Hansen said: “He was probably the finest sports’ organiser ever seen in Christchurch secondary schools and in this capacity he served impartially the boys of every school." As a mark of respect, the board members stood in silence, and a motion of sympathy with Mrs Biltcliff was carried.

At the twenty?ninth annual meeting of the St. Andrew’s College Board of Governors, resignations were received with deep regret from Mr John Deans, a foundation member of the board, and Mr A. 0. Wilkinson, who has been bursar of the college for the last 19 years. Mr Wilkinson was later elected to a seat on the board, and Mr F. A. Bull was appointed to the vacancy caused by the retirement of Mr Deans. Mr G. A. M. Hilson, who has held the office of college accountant for the last seven years, was appointed bursar. The St. John’s College Trust Board has appointed the Rev. R. E. Sutton to be warden of St. John’s College, Auckland. Mr Sutton, who is at present Warden of St. Barnabas College, Adelaide, is a theologian of considerable distinction.
