Ont Of The West Lands. By Lovat Dickson. The Reprint Society. Through Whitcombe and Tombs Ltd. This story is redolent of the maple leaf and the snowdrift. At the outset, however, there is a very agreeable echo of a Berkshire idyll written by Kenneth Grahame many years ago. Lovers of Edward Harold and the little boy whom one jnust take for Kenneth Grahame himself will catch the tone of “A Harvesting” in the following: "The 20 young bodies that had tumbled on each other as the sleigh lurched off the path disentangled themselves and scrambled amongst the strew.*
