ST. ANDREWS " The Press “ Special Service TIMARU, February 14. Fair entries all round were offered at the stock sale held in the St. Andrews saleyards. There was a good entry of medium-weight cattle, and the demand wa§ keen at the reduced rates which butchers have been paying for the last two weeks. Fat lambs and fat ewes sold at full schedule rates. The store sheep sold in keeping with this week’s rates. Prices were:— Fat Cattle.—Steers, £l3 to £l5 17s. 6d; others, £ll to £l2 17s 6d; heifers, £lO to £l2 7s 6d; others, £7 17s 6d to £9 17s 6d; cows, £7 to £lO 7s 6d. Store Cattle.—Cows and calves, to £8; bulls, £6 to £ll 15s. Fat Lambs.—Best, 26s to 28s 4d: others. 24s 4d to 25s lOd. Fat ewes, 14s 4d to 19s 4d. Store Sheep.—Two-tooth wethers, l&r 4d to 23s 7d; best rape lambs, 21s Id to 24s 3d; small, 13s to 14s fid.
