Rehandicaps "*■ The following have been declared for the Oamaru'meeting to-day: Gunga Din, 10-12 in the High-weight Handicap and 7-4 in the President’s Handicap; Foxhaven, 8-8 in the President’s Handicap; Grill, 8-2 in the Waitaki Hack Handicap and 8-0 in the Farewell Handicap; Sterling Lad, 8-4 in the Flying Handicap; and Joy Rosa, 8-12 in the Waitaki Hack Handicap. Waikouaiti Cup There were only seven starters in the Waikouaiti Cup, and Foxhaven was sent out a good favourite. The field raced in a bunch for seven furlongs at little more than three-quarter pace, and when the straight was reached Kiloney led from Double Cross, Grand Forest, Silver Sal, Foxhaven, and Royal Rae. Double Cross then showed out from Grand Forest, Foxhaven, and Silver Sal, with Foxchase, Which was last away, closing up. Foxhaven drew out near the post and won going away from Silver Sal, which narrowly beat Royal Rae. Double Cross was a length back, in front of Grand Forest and Foxchase. Foxhaven showed further Improvement, and had the race won nearly a furlong frbm the post. Double Cross received a kick above the hock at the post, and will not be a starter at Oamaru. The trophy attached to the stake was presented to N. H. Barlow,, owner of Fbxhaven, by the Hon. F. Jones, Minister of Defence. A Small Field

There were only three starters in the Toomey Memorial Handicap, but a close finish was staged. Sterling Lad was slowest to get going, but was in front entering the straight from Lyndall, with Burberry two lengths back. Burberry threw out a challenge, but could not make any impression, and although LyndaH also failed to get up, she had Sterling Lad doing his best to win.
