New Zealand delegation to the united Nations General Assembly will consist of the Prime Minister (the Rt ■ ° n lr?u F i? ser) ’ listed by the Act-ing-High Commissioner (Dr. R. M. Campbell), the Secretary of External Affairs (Mr A. D. Mclntosh), the official secretary to the New Zealand High Commissioner in Canberra (Miss J. R. McKenzie), and Mr J. V, Wilson, of the External Affairs Department. Mr w. O. Harvey, who recently succeeded Mr C. A. Jeffery, es Mr Fraser’s chief private secretary will accompany the delegation.— (P.a’.) Mr A. Ferguson, honorary secretary of the Westport branch of the 2nd N.Z.E.F. Association, has' been elected to represent Canterbury, Nelson, Marlborough, and Westland on the executive committee of '• the association.
Mr W. Low. who is a third officer in the Christchurch Fire Brigade, has completed 27 years’ continuous service. and will retire from the service of the Christchurch Fire Board on March 31 next year. Advice of Mr Low’s retirement was . given by the superintendent (Mr A. Morrison) in his report to the board last evening. Mr Morrison _ said that Mr Low had carried out his duties - in a very capable manner, particularly in the upkeeo rnd maintenance of the motor appliances gnd the fire-alarm systems.
