TOKEN STRIKE IN FRANCE
ißec. 7 p.m.) PARIS, Dec. 12, One million public workers staged a brief token strike to-day to draw attention to their claim for increased wages.
A procession carrying red flags marched down the Champs Elysees. Post offices, radio stations, and underground trains ceased to operate. Police throughout the country stopped work, except in Paris, where a skeleton staff remained on duty for security purposes.
