FLYING TROOPS TO MANCHUKUO
RUSSIAN PERMISSION TO CHUNGKING OCCUPYING CHANGCHUN, MUKDEN, HARBIN (N.2. Press Association—Copyright) (Rec. 10 p.m.) CHUNGKING, Dec. 11. "Russia; has agreed to permit Chinese Government troops to fly into Manchukuo to take over its most strategic cities." reports the Chinese Central News Agency. • "The Chungking Government has won permission to plant itself firmly in territory held to be vital for the recovery of war-ravaged China after weeks of tense negotiations in which the Chinese Communists sought to take over ports and cities. "Central Government troops will be permitted to fly into Changchun, Mukden, and Harbin."
The Associated Press says that Mukden is the first objective of the Central Government troops who recently broke into Manchukuo across the southern border, after outflanking the frontier fortress of Shanhaikwan.
