EGGS OFF RATION LIST

* EXTRA SUPPLIES FOR " CHRISTMAS From December 10 to December 24 egg rationing to grocers has been suspended, in the Christchurch egg marketing area to enable the public to obtain extra supplies for the Christmas period. This was announced yesterday by the chairman of directors of the Central Egg Floor (Mr C. E. Ferguson), who saiS grocers had been advised that the weekly rationing of eggs on the basis of two eggs for each butter coupon was suspended, and that the public could be supplied with as many eggs as required, within the limits of supplies.

Mr Ferguson said that the Egg Floor had decided to stop making egg pulp so that the public would have an odportunity to obtain full supplies of eggs for Christmas. Large quantities of eggs had been pulped during the summer months, and it was considered that the supplies would be sufficient to meet the pastrycooks' requirements in the winter months.
