Sir,—l thank “G. 8." for his help and have looked into the passages quoted. The question, however, is not whether the material universe will be destroyed, but how? Matthew 24 (35); Hebrews (11 and 12); 1 Peter. 4 (7). Is it that these momentous discoveries have been divinely withheld until this late period of history as a warning of the imminence of the end, and to help us to believe God's Word by a demonstration of how ‘ easily this hitherto seemingly improbable prophecy can be fulfilled?— Yours, etc., STUDENT.
