SALVATION ARMY
* CHRISTMAS CHARITIES ARRANGED
The Salvation Army Men's Industrial Home at Addington has for many years supplied Christmas gifts to the inmates of Paparua prison, as well as to the men in the home.
Major P. Norman has appealed to the public to assist this year, so that the work can be carried on. The gratitude and appreciation of the men were deep and sincere, said Major Norman. Gifts may be left at the Paramount Tailoring Company, opposite the Christchurch City Council office, or sent to the home, at 62 Poulson street. Addington.
The Christchurch Samaritan office of the Salvation Army will also be providing a- Christmas treat for children, paicels for the aged and sick, and for needy families, and on Christmas Day will provide a tea and entertainment for women at the Addington Reformatory.
Donations or gifts may be left with Major H. G. Rogers, at 218 Armagh street, or will be called for by Major Rogers.
