ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS TO PALESTINE
(Rec. 8 p.m.) TEL AVIV, Dec. 6. -The Chief Secretary to the Palestine Government (Mr J. V. Shaw) disclosed that since the end of the European war, 427 illegal Jewish immigrants had been detained in Palestine. Of this number, 407 had been released, and 15 departed. He added that a preliminary estimate of the loss and damage resulting from the incidents at Tel Aviv on November 14 amounted to £50,000 sterling.
