COLLEGE GAME DRAWN

' Resuming yesterday afternoon with six wickets. down for 115 runs, St. Bede's were all out In their first innings against St. Patrick's (Silverstream), for 147 runs. There was no play in T.he morning as the wicket was very soft. Costigan. carried his overnight score of 21 to 33; and was undefeated when the innings closed. The St. Patrick's second innings was almost a procession, only one batsman, Gleeson,, playing the bowling with any confidence. He compiled a bright 70, which included 10 fours. He used his feet freely to . the slow bowlegs and. played some excellent strokes. O'Malley, a med-ium-paced bowler, caused the St. Patrick's batsmen much trouble. He bowled 17 overs, four of which were maidens, and took five wickets for 20 runs. When St. Bede's commenced their second innings.they required 173 runs and had 50 minutes left to play. The batsmen attacked the bowling from the start, and scored at the rate of nearly two runs a minute. Thi& was not fast enough, however, and when stumps were drawn they had compiled 93 runs - for the loss of two wickets. Stone, in making S3, hit two sixes and two fours. •
