WIGAN CLUB’S OFFER ACCEPTED
(P.A.) AUCKLAND. December 4. Brian Nordgren, the brilliant Auckland and North Island Rugby League winger, has accepted a three-year contract to play for the Wigan Club, England. He hopes to sail soon, as the club is anxious to have him for tire cup ties in January! It is understood that the Wigan offer runs Into four figures,
Nordgren. who Is the joint holder of the New Zealand junior 100 yards record, this year established a New Zealand League points record, scoring 267 points for the season. The previous best was 220, set by Jack Hemi in 1941. Both played In 26 matches. Nordgren was the .first senior League player in the Dominion to collect 100 points exclusively from tries.
