N.Z. PUBLICITY IN ENGLAND

«—_ ' STEPS TAKEN TO GIVE INFORMATION (SpeciaJ Correspondent N.Z.P.A.) (Rec. 8 p.m.) LONDON, Nov. 1. "New Zealand, the Land, the People, Way of Life" is the title of an excellent pamphlet produced by the publicity section of New Zealand House. It is written "for the thousands of men and women in Britain who have told us that they want to know more about New Zealand," and it gives the latest information on emigration. It provides .the most up-to-date and precise information available in London about any of the Dominions. Wellwritten and lacking that stodgy, official touch, which often creeps into such publications, it is illustrated with a number of excellent photographs and includes a section on New Zealand slang. The attractive, cover is in red, white and black, with the emblem of a tiki and a photograph of a girl feeding lambs. Ten thousand copies have been printed, and it is likely that the pamphlet will be expanded when reprint is required. Another pamphlet is now being prepared dealing with New Zealand's social services, in which there is deep interest throughout the United Kingdom. These pamphlets go a long way towards answering .criticisms heard from time to time that New Zealand is Poorly publicised in Britain.
