• Sir - —ln re Ply to "No Help" regarding domestic service and the new scheme, thousands of women have to wrench themselves away from the worn-out belief that to-day you can expect a woman to be thrilled to work and clean up for another woman. Some huge advertising scheme is needed to be put forward by Mr Nordmeyer, showing just what our often repelling homes look like to the fellow New Zealander who goes out as ?. domestic. Also, 2s an- hour surely is little enough. • If it is regarded as ridiculously high, it shows the attitude that will have to be got out of the public conscience. Women objecting to paying fairly for work to be done should do the unpleasant tasks without comment. . I pay more than 2s an hour and go without to do so. because I myself would not like to work so hard for such poor nay.— Yours, etc., CAN ALWAYS GET HELP. Ashburton, October 30, 1945
