All retail shops will be closed tomorrow week, Show Dav, according to advice yesterday from the secretary of the Canterbury Employers' Association (Mr H. F. Butland). They will observe late night on Thursday to 9 o'clock except for some grocery stores which do not intend remaining open. Builders will observe Show Day as a holiday instead of Anniversary Day, which is an award holiday.
Queen Wilhelmina in Ensland<— .Queen Wilhelmina of the Netherlands arrived in Britain to-day in a' Dutch Dakota aircraft. She was greeted on arrival by the Netherlands Ambassador.—London, October 30.
