The only other bracket in the galloping events will be Authentic and All Night, both owned by Mr W. Payne, in the Geraldine Cup. Two Divisions There are 32 acceptors in the Ohapi Hack Handicap at Orari to-day and, as the safety limit at the seven-furlong post is 24, the race will be run in two divisions, as follows:—First division: Knight Crusader, Nightstalk, Belfort. Each division will be worth £BS to the winner and £ls to the runner-up. For Australia Royal Flight, in charge of A. E. Didhain, was shipped to Wellington on Thursday on the first stage of the trip to Australia. It was earlier arranged to ship the mare direct from Bluff to Melbourne, but shipping was not available, and a change to Sydney had to be made. Didham intends to ride the mare on the trip and will make arrangements for her (raining on arrival. During his absence Didham’s team at Wingatui will be under the supervision of the former Riccarton trainer, R. McLellan. Stable-mates . . . Knight Crusader, by Medieval Knight, I and Plutocrat, by Ninth Duke, engaged in the Ohapi Hack Handicap at Orari today, are' both owned by Mr A. N. Smith, of Dunedin, who won the Grand National Hurdle Race with Arabian Night. Both have filled minor places. Knight Crusader running second to Bruce in the first division of the Cashmere Plate at Riccarton last month. Maiden Candidates . , . Frances, engaged in the first division of the Ohapi Hack Handicap to-day, is a three-year-old filly by Bulandshar from Trivet, a half-sister to Kerbside, dam of Hearth. True Mate, and Prize Ring, and is trained by her owner, D. P. Wilson. Frances has yet to appear in public. Other little-known horses in the same race include Kyron. by Valkyrian from Maid of the East; Lady Coolbane, by Foxbridge from Thermidor; Nightchild. by Nightmarch from Chidden; Pandosto, by Leighon from Topsy Wood; and Rubble, by Night Raid from Fayq, In Forward Order The five-year-old gelding Ration, owned by Mrs Allan Holmes, is now trained at Riccarton by A. J. Griffin, who has Roman Son also under his charge. Ration won two minor races on the West Coast last season and had three second placings in his 18 other starts during the term, and after racing at Riccarton at Easter he was put aside. He sprinted well over half a mile on Thursday morning and may show up in his engagement at Orari to-day. An Interesting Contestant Record Voyage is to make his reappearance to-day after an absence since Easter of 1944, when he was in the Chokebore stable. He was turned out after the Easter meeting at Riccarton and some months later was purchased by Mrs J. E. Goulding, of Christchurch, and given to E. Kingan to train. Kingan has had him in steady work for some time, and the colt has'furnished into a very solid four-year-old. Record Voyage is by Phaleron Bay from Fast Passage and showed marked promise as a ■ two-year-old, but after winning a maiden event at the Banks Peninsula meeting at Riccarton in March, 1944, and running third in the Plunket Handicap at Trentham he failed twice at the Riccarton Easter meeting and was then spelled. Bred as he is, Record Voyage may develop into a good winner for his new owner. Riders at Paeroa ♦ Riding engagements for the Thames Jockey Club’s spring meeting at Paeroa 10-dav include:—S.
