MOTOR TRAFFIC
Sir, —What a fuss some of these motorists are making about the traffic inspectors doing this and not doing that. Do they think they own the town? And the business people, or some of them, can’t get on without cars. How did they get on when petrol was almost prohibited? Quite well, I think. There are far too many of those gentry about just now. If some of them would learn to walk a little more it would do them good. There is no need for all the cars I see in the town, especially in Friday nights. But some must drive round and round to let their friends see they can sport a car. As long as they can get a pint of petrol they must use the car. Let us hear less about it now and for the future.—Yours, etc, MOTORIST. September 18, 1945.
