“FORTY THIEVES”

An exciting new Western film "Forty Thieves,” with Bill Boyd as Hopalong Cassidy in the leading role, will be screened to-day at the Liberty Theatre. CENTURY

“RAGE IN HEAVEN”

The film' version of “Rage in Heaven,” by James Hilton, the author of “Good-bye, Mr Chips,” will be screened to-day at the Century Theatre. The story deals with the life of a man so deranged by jealousy of his wife and his best friend, that he commits a murder seemingly from the grave. The leading roles are taken by Robert Montgomery, as Philip Monreli, a wealthy but mentally unbalanced mill owner, and Ingrid Bergman, as his wife. A leading featured role is played by George Sanders.

EMPIRE

“ALI BABA AND THE FORTY THIEVES” The Technicolor film version of the well-known story of Ali Baba and his exploits in the city of Bagdad will be screened to-day at the Empire Theatre. The film stars Maria Montez, Jon Hall, and Turhan Bey. The supporting feature is “Silent Witness," the story of a notorious criminal lawyer. The leading roles are plaved by Frank Albertson and Maris .Wrixoa. _
