♦ OFFICIAL FORECASTS “ The Press " Special Service WELLINGTON, April 22. The weather forecast for Canterbury Issued at 9 p.m. by the Meteorological Office, Wellington, and dealing with the 20 hours following the time of issue, is as follows: Situation; there is a depression west of the North Island and an anti-cytlone to the east. The forecast to 5 p.m. Is for moderate northeasteries predominating. Weather cloudy and cool, with patches of light rain or drizzle. WEST COAST The forecast for the West Coast of the South Island is:— Moderate easterlies. Weather cloudy and cool, with further scattered rain or drizzle, chiefly in the north, but Improving from the south during the day. CHRISTCHURCH WEATHER The weather In Christchurch during the week-end was fine, though at times overcast. At 1 o’clock this morning the sky was overcast and there was a light south-westerly breeze.
