WOMEN’S DIVISION OF FARMERS’ UNION

GRANT FOR HOUSEHOLD HELP SERVICE (P.A.) WELLINGTON, July 20. The Women's Division of the Farmers’ Union at its conference in Wellington today decided to accept the Government’s invitation to become an approved society and, as such, to accept a Government grant for the extension of its household help service. The division intends to acquire a rest home in the Auckland province, making the fourth, such institution in the Dominion. Officers elected at the conference today were:—president, Mrs W. Elliot; vicepresidents; North Island, Mesdames J. J’oll, G. Lamplough, W. Lane: South Island, Mesdames I. Coop, J. R. Haldane, N. Mclntosh.
