EXPULSION OF ENEMY ALIENS
—«— DISAGREEMENT WITH RESOLUTION CHRISTCHURCH RETURNED SERVICES’ ASSOCIATION While supporting the clauses calling for investigation of activities of enemy aliens, the executive committee of the Christchurch Returned Services’ Association, at a meeting last evening, dissociated itself with clause C of the recent resolution of the Dominion conference of the association, in regard to enemy aliens. The clause called on the Government to expel from the country enemy aliens, who entered the country since 1939, allowing them to take only such money and possessions as they brought info the country. The resolution of the committee, which was moved by the Van. Archdeacon A, J. Petrie, and seconded by Mr P. L. Hodge, further asked that the Dopiinion executive committee should give full information to all branches, obtain their opinions, and give careful consideration before implementing the resolution of the conference.
