OPIUM OFFENCES DUNEDIN (P.A.) DUNEDIN, July 9. Heavy wooden bars had to be forced, and warning strings and bells were found inside premises in Maclaggan street, which the police raided Two men were caught and several escaped. In the Magistrate’s Court this morning Wong Chok and Chuie Key Soo were charged with opium smoking offences. Wong was fined £6O. and Chute £ls. In the smoking room were found eiderdowns and rugs spread on the floor with wooden head rests. Slush lamps were burning and 19 packages of raw opium were discovered
