COMPETITIONS CONTINUED . Winter tennis competitions were continued at Wilding Park on Saturday. Results;— ELMWOOD B v. CANTERBURY COLLEGE Men’s Singles T. Callender beat B. L. Hunter, 8-6, 3-6. 9*7. R. W. Austin lost to E. White, 6-8, 6-8. A. T. Cartwright beat B. R. Penfold, 7 W. Cunningham lost to D. P. Hughes, 3-6, 3-6. Men’s Doubles . Callender and Austin lost to Hunter and Hughes. 6-3, 3-6, 3-6. . . Cartwright and Cunningham lost to White and Penfold, 1-6, 6-8. Canterbury College won by 4 matches to 2. WOOLSTON A v. ELMWOOD A Men’s Singles L. Jackson lost to A. R. Cant, 3-6, 4-6. A. Lee beat G. Atkinson, 6-3, 6-1. S. McCann lost to J. Fisher, 6-8, 6-4, A. Goddard beat W. P. Jones, 6-3, 14-12. Men’s Doubles Jackson and Goddard lost to Cant and Atkinson, 5-7, 3-B. McCann and Lee beat Fisher and Jones, 6-2. 6-1. _ ■ . . Woolston won by 7 sets to 6.
