The weather forecast lor Canterbury Issued at 3 p.m. by the Meteorological Office, Wellington, and dealing with the 24 hours lollowing the time of issue, is as follows'— • Situation: a deep depression is slowly crossing the Dominion. Forecast to 5 p.m.: fresh to strong southwesterly to southerly winds; weather dull and cold, with further rain, and flooding probable in North Canterbury. WEST COAST The forecast for the West Coast of the South Island is;— Winds from an easterly quarter, fresh or strong at times; weather fair, apart from a few showers north of Westport; temperatures cooler. CHRISTCHURCH WEATHER The weather in Christchurch yesterday was cold, with rain during most of the day. and a southerly wind.
