The weather forecast for Canterbury Issued at 5 p.m. by the Meteorological Office, Wellington, and dealing with the 24 hours following the time of issue, Is as follows; Situation: A ridge of high pressure is over the Dominion. A trough In the western Tasman Sea is moving slowly eastward. Forecast to 5 p.m.; light to moderate and variable winds. Weather cloudy, with some scattered drizzle at flrst, but fair in the -afternoon. Temperatures moderate. WEST COAST The forecast for the West Coast of the Couth Island is:— Light to moderate variable winds. Weather cloudy, with some scattered drizzle, chiefly in the morning. Temperatures moderate. CHRISTCHURCH WEATHER The weather was overcaat yesterday, with a light south-west wind. The maximum temperature was 94.5 degrees. At 1 o’clock this morning the sky was cloudy, wtyh a light north-east breeze. The barometer was steady at 29.90 in (1012.5 millibars).
