Queen Visits U.S. Servicewomen*— The Queen paid an informal visit to one of the billets belonging to the American Women's Army Corps in London on the occasion of the third anniversary of the corps on Monday. The Queen climbed to the fifth floor of the billets and chatted with American women, who made Her Majesty an unofficial presentation of a parcel containing lipstick, face cream, and other cosmetics and candies, -which they had saved from their rations. Members of the corps formed a guard of honour fo* the Queen on her departure.— London, May IS.
