The forecast Is for light to moderate variable winds, north-easterlies predominating. Weather fair to fine. Temperatures moderate. WEST COAST The forecast for the West Coast of tire South Island Is:— (Jfht to moderate, variable winds, westerlies predominating in the afternoon. Weather fair but cloud increasing during the day. Temperatures moderate. CRRISTCmiRCm WEATHER The- weather in Christchurch yesterday was fine but cloudy. There was a light south-westerly breeze.
