COMPANY NEWS Zinc CorporatlonAThe Zinc Corporation advises that a cablegram for advice to shareholders has been received from the head office in London. The scheme for the reorganisation of the capital structure was approved at meetings of shareholders held on March 7, 1945, and -was sanctioned by the Court on March 26. Registers of 20 per - cent, cumulative preference shares will close on the evening of April 11, and the scheme will .become effective on April 12, Documents relating to the issue of additional ordinary shares for cash will be posted about April 23. and shareholders registered on April 11 will have the right to subscribe for one new ordinary share at the price of £2 sterling a share for each four preference and/or ’ordinary shares.—(P.A.)
MINING Blackwater Mines, Ltd.—Following is a review of development work carried out in the four weeks to' March 30,'1945:—N0. 15 level drive north: advanced 45 feet, of which 34 feet was exposed reef, averaging B.73dwt over 36 Inches. No. 15 level drive south: advanced 51 feet on reef averaging 12.97dwt over 19 Inches. No. 12 level winze: advanced 25 feet on reef averaging 14.35dwt over 14 inches.
