MORE FLYING BOMB ATTACKS
LAUNCHINGS FROM NORTH SEA (Rec, 11.30 p.m.) LONDON, Oct. 22, A great barrage opened up on the past coast of England last night, when flying bombs came in from the North Sea. The defenders took toll of the missiles, several of which were seen to disintegrate in mid-air.; One flying
bomb which penetrated the defences fell in open country, London had a brief alert. For the tenth successive night flying bombs were launched against southern England from the North Sea on Friday. The attack was not heavy. When flying bombs were launched from the North Sea on Thursday night the coastal batteries put tip a great barrage. Night fighters were also active. Several bombs were destroyed, but otners caused 1 damage and casualties. London had a brief alert.
