CHRISTCHURCH CLUB 1 In the final of the Richards Cup, M. K. Gray beat L. Brinkman, 5 and 4, at the Shirley golf links on Saturday. The semi-final of the Cox Cup resulted:—A. D. Paterson beat S. W. Binns, 3 and 2; A. B. Hobbs beat J. E. Prendergast, 4 and 2. In the first round of the S. G. Holland Cup, results were as follows:—C. Caldwell beat E. C. Cording by default; L. S. Jewell beat A. R. Spalding, 3 and 1; F. S. Grant beat A. A. Holland, 2 and 1; D. C. Johnston and R. A. Triggs, all square: Ov A. Seymour beat E. J. Pumphrey, 5 and 4; F, S Taylor beat R. T. Malyon, 7 and. 6; W. M. McClure beat J. P. Muldoon. 5 and 3; H. R‘. T. Spanjer beat L. A. Woodward, 3 and 2. In the final of the scratch competition played .yesterday, O. A. Y. Johnston beat L. !. Moorhouse, 3 and 2. A. B. Hobbs beat A. D. Paterson in the final of the Cox Cup, 5 and 4. WAIT! KIRI CLUB A stiff north-west wind during the morning, followed by a strong southerly in the afternoon, made scoring difficult in the Waitikiri open tournament yesterday. The senior championship was won by A. R. Blank, who played sound golf in the morning round to lead by 10 strokes. The junior championship was-won by E. C. Curding for the second year in succession. He was seven strokes ahead of D. F. Glanville, the runner-up. In Saturday’s Stableford, A. R. Blank and C Caldwell tied in the senior division with 30 points. Blank winning on the count back. J. C. Watson with 30 points, won the junior event. Sunday morning’s medal match resulted:— _ Seniors.—W. J. McGavock, 87, 11—76; E. G. Thompson, 89, 12—77; A. R. Blank, 78; scr—7B. H. E. Radley, 91. 13—78. In the semi-finals of the Veterans Cup, W Fisher beat B. Roll, 4 and 3: and A. West beat J. Wyn Irwin, 3 and 2. The semi-finals of the Wyn Irwin vase resulted:—Mrs R. A. P. Francis and B. Roll beat Mrs J. Palmer and R. Gillespie, I up; Mrs E. Vaughan and C. L. Crowley beat Mrs E. Price and A. West, 5 and 4. In the final of the Wyn Irwin vase, Mrs RAP. Francis and B. .Roll beat Mrs E. HAGLEY LADIES' CLUB A Ladies’ Golf Union medal match was played by the Hagley Ladies’ Golf. Club on Friday, Results;— Senior.—Miss E. Stewart, 92, 14—78. Junior.—Miss M. Neads, 103, 24—79. AVONDALE LADIES’ CLUB A four-ball bogey competition for Mrs J. Carter’s trophies, played on the Avondale links, resulted: —Mrs J. M. Preston and Miss C. L. Sapsford, 1 down; Misses H*. Logan and M. E. Smith, 1 down; Misses B. Blair and M. Donaldson, 2 down. In the final of the knock-out competition for Miss N. Gillespie’s trophy. Miss B. Blair beat Mrs T. Condliffe, 1 up at the twenty-first.
