Many thousands of health stamps were sold in Auckland on . Monday, when the 1944-45 campaign was officially opened. By the end'of the day at the Chief Post Office alone stamps to the value of about £320 had . been sold hither at the counters or at the .special stalls set up in the main foyer under the charge of Mrs B. J. McKendrick, honorary secretary of the Auckland Central Council of the New Zealand Federation of Health Camps. It is expected that the record total of £SOO taken on the first -day last year wiil be exceeded when the returns from suburban post offices are taken into account. In Christchurch stamps to the value of £304 were sold in the vestibule of the Chief Post Office on Monday, and good business was also done at suburban post offices. Business was again brisk on Tuesday and yesterday at the sales table at the entrance to the General Post Office. ROUGH.
