DEATH AFTER BURNS
* Charles Agnew, aged 16, of 102 Strickland street, who was admitted to the Christchurch Hospital on Monday afternoon with burns received when his clothing caught fire at the premises of Durax Products, Ltd., where he was employed, died yesterday morning. An inquest was opened yesterday afternoon and adjourned after evidence of identification had been given.
Advocate of Wage Increase.—Mr Henry Ford, in a statement, said he would like to raise the pay of all Ford workers, in spite of the fact that their wages were already higher than the rest of the industry. “As long as I live I want to pay the highest wages m the automobile industry/’ he said.
