AWARD PRESENTED TO MAORI FARMER
(P.A.) HASTINGS. September 18. Widespread interest was taken in the presentation on Saturday of Lord Bledisloe’s trophy, the Ahuwhenua Cup, to Mr Bunny Otene, winner o* the Maori Land Development Scheme competition. The presentation was made by the Minister of Native Affairs (the Hon. H. G. R. Mason). Also present were Messrs T. Omana and E. L. Cullen, members of Parliament. Special tribute was paid to Mr* Otene, who had carried on the farm during her husband’s service in Armed Forces.
