Slaughtering Contract. —Three tenders were received by the Christchurch City Council lor the slaughtering contract at the City Abattoir. The tender of William Wootton was accepted by the council at its meeting last evening. Cr. J. N. Clarke said the contract would save £I7OO a year to the butchers of Christchurch..
