RUGBY LEAGUE
* REPRESENTATIVE MATCHES An invitation from the West Coast to play an Anisy Shield match at Greymouth on Sunday, August 6, was accepted by the Canterbury Rugby League last evening. A return game at Christchurch on Saturday, August 26, will be offered to the West Coast League. Mr R. Brown was appointed manager of the Canterbury team. Wellington will be invited to meet Canterbury at Christchurch on September 2, with the. possibility of a return match later. Mr T. Naylor presided.
