SCARLET FEVER SHOWS SLIGHT DECREASE
Scarlet fever notifications in the Canterbury health district last week totalled 46, a slight decline from the level of recent weeks. There were seven cases on the West Coast. Other notifications in Canterbury included six cases of tuberculosis, two of septic abortion, and one each of erysipelas and actinomycosis. Therewere two cases of tuberculosis on the West Coast and two deaths from this disease in Canterbury.
