TELEPHONE DIRECTORIES
Sir, —Recently I had to call a doctor in the early hours, but it was over an hour before I found a directory suffici-
ently legible to use. May I suggest that a printed or even typed sheet Containing the more urgently required names and numbers—doctors, ambulance, fire, police, etc.—could be posted in each telephone booth? The cost of this would be small and could easily be the means of saving life in an emergency.—Yours, etc., H.E.B. January 10, 1944.
