GREYHOUND RACING
DOMINION CHAMPIONSHIPS (P.A.) HASTINGS, January 8, Tile New Zealand Greyhound Racing Championships were held at Hastings during the holidays, dogs from many parts of the North Island taking part. The champiolnship flat was won by C. Taylor’s China’s Hope (Auckland) and the championship hurdles was won by Messrs Wilson and Gledhill’s Muir, of Ord. This dog won the same event last year, when the championships were held at Masterton. The following are the results:— • Maiden Stake.—M. Murphy’s Cardinal 1, I, Wells’s Lucky Light 2. A. Adsett’s Nan 3. New Zealand Flat Championship.—C. Taylor’s China's Hope 1, Miss J. Hanley’s Lucky Cinders 2, S. Swanson’s Just Bett 3. Novice Flat.—A. Lavery’s Sue 1, R. Gunn’s Wind Up 2, Miss J. Hanley’s Lady Robin 3. Hawke’s Bay Puppy Stake.—T. Richards’ Ukraine 1, W. Davey’s Lucky Myrtle 2, J. M. Basset's Bronze Eagle 3. New Zealand Championship Hurdles.— Wilson and Gledhill’s Muir of Ord 1, A. H. Southee’s Silver Lining 2, G. Little's Dempsey’s Beau 3. Clive Limit Stake.—J. Fraser’s Red Terms 1, Miss J. Hanley's Lucky Cinders 2. A. H. Southee’s Just Elk 3. Novice Hurdles.—T. B. Noonan’s Top Hat 1, A. H. Southee’s Silver Lining 2, J. M. Basset’s Bronze Moth 3. Fannin Cup.—Wall and Connop’s Ambitious 1, Davis and Gerrand’s Gay Crest S, Mrs S. c. Drlnkwater’s Black Majesty 3.
