APPEALS AGAINST HARVESTING
DECISIONS OF NO. 10 BOARD More than 20 appeals against working for one month in the harvest were heard by the No. 10 Armed Forces Appeal, Board yesterday. Decisions were given -as follows:—'William Gilroy, painter (J. B; MacLaren), dismissed, to serve in February: Clarence John Seabourm painter (J. «• MacLaren), dismissed, to serve in March; Norman David Blackburn, clerk (Bunting and Co., Ltd), adjourned sine die; James Bruce Wilby (Bunting and Co., Ltd.), dismissed: Alfred Prangnell. motor mechanic (Tench Brothers, Ltd.), adjourned sine die: Thomas R. Broadbelt, machinist (New Zealand Newspapers, Ltd.), adjourned sine die; Lawrence Stanley Jones, machinist (Sneddon, Haywood, Ltd.), adjourned sine die: James Arthur Packlington, boot repairer (Bennett s Shoe Service), adjourned sine-die; Leslie Gordon Anderson, boot repairer (Bennett s Shoe Service), dismissed: Keith Noonan, moulder .(Osborne Gas Stove Co.), adjourned sine die; Douglas Hughes, hairdresser, dismissed, to serve in March! Frank F. Kirby, furniture maker (Smith s City Market), decision reserved: Graham P. Hammett, mechanic (Tudor Hosiery, Ltd.), decision reserved: Eric Ronald Hamblin, butcher’s assistant (Shaws Butchery), adjourned sine die; James R. Smith, motor mechanic (J. Smith),, adjourned sine die; Frederick W. Prangnell, labourer <C. J. Burgess), dismissed, to serve in February; Colin John Newton, wood and coal merchant (estate K.
