MANPOWER
Sir,—Your sub-leader in Monday’s issue on the manpower question deserves all praise. Food production for Britain and the Pacific is the most urgent matter for New Zealand, and failure to produce it will receive severe condemnation from all quarters. When Mr Nash realises the serious condition of affairs in this country 1 am convinced he will take immediate steps to reorganise manpower nnd comb out large numbers of men and women doing some thing or nothing called military work and send them to their homes to do useful seasonal work, helping to save the Empire from starvation and famine.—Yours, etc.. SAVE DISASTER. November 26. >943.
