Wellington, and dealing with the 24 hours following the time of issue, is as follows: ' Moderate winds from an easterly quarter, freshening at times near the coast. Some scattered mist or drizzle near the coast, but weather otherwise fair and mild. WEST COAST The forecast for the West Coast of the South Island is:— Moderate easterly winds predominating. Some scattered drizzle or rain in the north, but weather otherwise fair to fine. Temperatures mild. CHRISTCHURCH WEATHER The weather yesterday was fine with a light south-west breeze. At 1 o’clock this morning misty rain . was falling and there was a moderate south-west wind. The barometer was steady at 30.15 inches (1021 millibars).
