SALES OF LAND
APPLICATIONS FOR APPROVAL The number of applications for approval of land sales filed with the Christchurch office of the Land Sales Court is 133, and of these 61 have been appi wea by land sales committees. Although the act came into operation on October 18. there had been only 65 applications up to the beginning of last week, one fewer than the number made during the week. The Deputy-Registrar (Mr J. W. Harveyl said yesterday that there was no delay in bringing applications before the committees. When the Crown wished to make a special valuation to check the price stated in an application the greatest lapse of time had been only a few days.
