REHABILITATION IN ACTION
“There is nothing within oilr means and the bounds of common sense,” said the Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. Peter Fraser, “that we can do for these men that we ought not to do.” That promise is being lived up to. To-day, when 10,000 men have returned from overseas we find that £300,000 has been paid out in loans for houses, £280,000 in finance for farms, and £71,000 in furniture loans. The Labour Government’s trade-training schemes are in full swing and university studies are being made available to returned servicemen. The citizen, as well as the soldier, has learned to rely on Labour’s word. They know that the Labour Government will continue to give the ex-servicemen the square deal they have deserved. To ensure there- is no repetition of the mistakes that nap* pened after the last war—VOTE LABOUR AGAIN. — 1
