THREE CASES OF INFANTILE PARALYSIS
Two cases of < infantile paralysis at Kaikouraand a fatal case at Ashburton were reported to the Department of Health last week. The Haikoura cases were both in the one family, making three, cases in this family in a fortnight. Other notifications shown in the department’s weekly statistics for Canterbury are:—Scarlet fever, 3; diphtheria, 1; tuberculosis, 17; cerebrospinal meningitis. 1; puerperal sepsis, 2; septic abortion, 1. One fatal case of tuberculosis was reported in Canterbury. The West Coast' had a clean sheet for the week, {
