BOWLS
CHRISTCHURCH CENTRE The Christchurch Bowling Centre decided at a meeting held last evening to approach the Christchurch City Council for permission to build an indoor bowling rink in a central position in the city. Mr W. B. Fuller presided at the meeting, which was well attended.
Permission was granted to the following clubs to hold tournaments on the dates specified:—Kalapoi (Labour Dayl Rakaia (Labour Day), Allenton (October
The annual match between South Canterbury and Christchurch clubs for the Steans ‘ Cup will be played on December 4.
A notice of motion by. Mr R. H. Taylor, of the Beckenham ' Club, their not more than two delegates from each club should be appointed to the centre,'was lost.
A recommendation was made to the match.-committee that Christinas 'tournaments should be held between Christmas t and New sCear.,
