TWO YOUTHS KILLED
TRACTOR OVERTURNS
(P.A.) INVERCARGILL, Sept, 12. Two youths were killed at Te Tipua* near Mataura, this afternoon when a heavy tractor on which they were riding overturned and pinned mem underneath. The victims were:— James Edward John Beker, aged lSson of Mr E. J. Beker. of Spring
Hills. „ , John James Ross, aged 20, son of JVir Robert Ross, farmer, of Te Tipua. Ross was driving the tractor and Beker was sitting on the mudguard. The tractor suddenly overturned ana Ross and Beker were pinned underneath, death being instantaneous.
Two excursion trains left Christchurch for Timaru yesterday. The first carried 205 passengers and the sscona 295. The morning train from Timaru to Christchurch carried 236 passengers.
