APPOINTMENTS ON "N.Z.E.F. TIMES"

CAIRO, Sept. 10,
Mr E. G. Webber, who was previously editor of the “N.Z.E.F. Times and senior war correspondent in the Middle East, has been appointed public relations officer to the 2nd N.Z.E.F., with the commissoned rank of captain. Captain Webber, who before the war had 14 years’ reporting, sub-editorial, and editorial experience on various North Island newspapers, was editor of the “Morning Post,” Rotorua, when he enlisted for service and went overseas with an infantry unit of the sth Reinforcements. . ... Warrant Officer Heatley, sub-editor of the “N.Z.E.F, Times,” and befOTe the war sub-editor of the “Bay of Plenty Beacon,” Whakatane, has now been appointed a war correspondent and editor of the “N.Z.E.F. Times.”
