INVERCARGILL, June 8, Fat sheep values at the Lorneville sale to-day were much the same as last week. Extra good quality ewes made up to 24s Bd, good quality ewes 20s to 22s 6d, medium 17s 6d to 18s 6d, freezing 13s 6d to 16s. Good quality wethers. 30s to 32s 6d, medium 28s to 29s 3d. Competition for fat lambs was fairly keen, and values in many Instances were ahead Of export schedule rates. Better quality fat cattle were fully 20s a head dearer. Good quality medium-weight bullocks made from £ls to £l6 10s, handy-weights £l3 15s to £l4 10s, light-weights £ll 10s to £l2 10s. Prime quality medium-weight heifers realised from £ll 5s to £l2 10s, handy-weights £lO 5s to £ll. lightweights £9 to £9 15s. There was an entry of about 250 head of cattle at Duvauchelle monthly cattle sale, the smallest entry for some months Fat cattle came forward in smaller numbers, only about 100 head being offered. The entry consisted chiefly of light steers and cows and heifers, and quality wa* varied, well finished sorts meeting a keen

demand. A few lines of rising three-year-old steers sold well in the store pens, the balance of the yarding being cows and heifers.
