VISIT TO DOMINION SQUADRONS

NEW ZEALAND M.P.’S LONDON. May 14. The New Zealand Parliamentary delegates, Messrs L. G. Lowry and W. P. Endean visited the New Zealand Spitfire and Typhoon Squadrons and spent some time chatting to the pilots in the dispersal huts. The Spitfire pilots had just returned from an uneventful sweep. They went out again immediately after Messrs Lowry and Endean left, taking part in the operation in which Flying Fortresses bombed Meaulte. Messrs Lowry and Endean are to visit Cardiff, Birmingham, Stafford, Liverpool, Blackpool, Glasgow, Edinburgh, and York. One of their first engagements in London was a luncheon with the New Zealand Society where they met prominent New Zealanders. The High Commissioner (Mr W. J. Jor. dan) presided. They were delighted with their visit to Buckingham Palace where they were particularly interested to hear the Princesses asking about New Zealand, saying that they had heard much about its fishing and hoped to visit the Dominion.
